HIRAM – Authorities were looking for two men who broke into a home Monday.
According to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department, two men broke into a home on Brownfield Road and cut the phone lines.
The woman who lives there had been sleeping but awoke when she heard breaking glass, said Capt. James P. Miclon of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Department.
When she went into the kitchen to investigate, she was confronted by two men whose faces were covered. One of the men pulled out a gun and forced her into the living room while the other one searched the house.
The men demanded drugs and money. They took the woman’s pocketbook and some medications, which she took for cancer, before running away.
