Cougars defeat Schenck Duffy-Stanley leads Katahdin

SHERMAN STATION – K.C. Duffy-Stanley registered 18 points, 10 of which came from the free throw line as the host Katahdin Cougars prevailed 38-23 over Schenck of East Millinocket in girls basketball action.

Robin Larlee led the Wolverines with 11 pionts.

Ashten Smith sparked the Royalettes with 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Jody Pinkham scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Brandon Hall scored six of his 12 points during a 12-1 Foxcroft Academy run in the final three minutes as the Ponies downed Orono.

Danny White led the Ponies with 15 points, Matt Carey had 12, and Hall grabbed 10 rebounds. Josh Withee dished out seven assists.

Mike Socoby scored 14 to lead the Red Riots. Justin Perron added 11.
