Harvey, Cyr lead Husson Braves win 10th

WATERVILLE – Nate Cyr and Bucksport’s Jason Harvey scored 17 points apiece as the Husson College Braves rolled past Thomas 86-59 in men’s college basketball action Tuesday night

Randy Fletcher had 15 points for Husson of Bangor.

James Godley of Danforth topped Thomas of Waterville with 16 points while Adam Rich had 14 and Jimmy Cardaci and Will Nickerson scored 10 points each.

At Auburn, Chris Brackett scored a game-high 43 points and Patrick Dempsey contributed 12 points and 13 assists as Central Maine Technical College cruised to victory.

Mike Graham had 16 points, Dave Brown chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds and Geoff Forrey had eight rebounds to go with his seven points.

Jeremy Kervin scored 26 points for Unity, Noah Schneider tossed in 14 and Sean Edwards had 10 more. Jason Simino had a team-high seven rebounds.

At Boston, Steve Estes’ only two points of the game came on a layup with four seconds remaing gave the Huskies the win over the Beacons.

Mike Francoeur and Jason Levqcque had 25 points apiece for Southern Maine and Ryan Soucie tossed in 17.

Bily Allen had 26 to top all scorers for UMass.-Boston.

At Mahaney Gym in Waterville, freshman guard Ashley Hathaway of Gardiner sank two free throws with four seconds left in overtime to give Thomas its second league win.

Erin Lovely hit seven 3-pointers and scored a game-high 29 points to pace her Thomas Terriers.

Courtney Corbett chipped in with 15 points for the Terriers.

Megan Hughes had 20 points and Holly Gracie added 18 for Husson College.
