Exeter man indicted on assault charges

BANGOR – An Exeter man with a criminal history that includes a pattern of violence was indicted Monday by the Penobscot County grand jury on charges of assaulting a brother and sister after a night of drinking at a Newport tavern.

Guy K. Maloon, 37, was indicted on one count each of elevated aggravated assault, aggravated assault, assault and violation of condition of release. He was arrested Feb. 5 after Robert Greeley, 45, and Kimberly King, 38, who are brother and sister and both of St. Albans, were found about 4:30 a.m. in a dairy barn at the Chambers Farm on Route 43 in St. Albans.

Both had been severely beaten the night before and Greeley had a serious facial cut, according to law enforcement officials. The incident started in Corinna after a fourth person gave the pair and Maloon a ride home from Lucky’s Tavern in Newport. Police said that the beating and knifing took place inside the vehicle in Corinna.

Kondwa Chalila, 35, Brewer, operating after revocation.

Matthew N. Downing, 23, Dexter, aggravated criminal trespass, two counts of assault.

Kenneth Drake, 52, Brewer, two counts of trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Harold L. Fisher III, 24, Etna, burglary, criminal mischief, operating after suspension.

William J. Harper, 19, Bangor, burglary, theft;

Willie W. Harper, 34, Dexter, sexual abuse of a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor, forgery, theft.
