LINCOLN – More than 75 displays of business products, services, arts and crafts, food and entertainment will be featured at Lincoln’s second annual trade show and community fair Saturday, March 15.

The daylong event sponsored by the Lincoln Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce begins at 8 a.m. at Mattanawcook Academy. Admission is $1 per person.

Carole Potts, chairman of the event, said the purpose of the trade show and fair is to help promote local businesses and bring people to the community. She said the family-oriented event would provide people with a good time.

“We are filled to the max,” said Potts, referring to the large number of exhibitors and crafters. “We had to even make room.”

The event will feature business and service exhibits, including log homes, automobiles, landscaping, golfing, printing, investment, Internet services and more. Penobscot Valley Hospital and Health Access Network of Lincoln, a 2-year-old nonprofit organization with six facilities in Greater Lincoln, will offer health-related information and screenings.

The event will include exhibits of more than two dozen crafters, an art exhibit by students from three area schools, a wood carving exhibit and contest, live animal exhibits and a race-car exhibit. Visitors will get to meet greyhound dogs from the Greyhound Placement Services adoption program and miniature donkeys from Gilmore Farms of Lincoln.

Potts said there would be plenty of entertainment. Alan Drew of Mount Desert Island, a well-known master illusionist, will perform throughout the day. The WWJD Puppet Company will present two shows at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Back Door Dance Studio of Eddington will perform “The Zoot Suit Revue,” a high-energy extravaganza designed to take spectators back to the swing dances of the 1940s. The performance will begin at 3:30 p.m.

The Chamber’s food concession will be open all day, along with specialties from the River Driver’s Restaurant of Millinocket.
