Piscataquis grand jury indicts pair accused in vandal spree

DOVER-FOXCROFT – Two men accused of doing thousands of dollars worth of damage in a vandalism spree in December were indicted Thursday by a Piscataquis County grand jury.

Kenneth W. Goodman, 20, of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Travis Hall, 18, of Dover-Foxcroft, were each indicted for aggravated criminal mischief, burglary, three counts of theft, burglary of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief.

Goodman and Hall allegedly broke about 30 windows in businesses and vehicles in Dover-Foxcroft, using steel balls, a slingshot and a pellet rifle. The two also are alleged to have broken into the True Value store and a vehicle that had been parked in Monument Square.

Police found bags of candy, hand warmers, survival knives and other items, some of which bore True Value price tags, in the vehicle the pair were traveling in at the time of the vandalism and burglaries. A pellet gun, a slingshot and steel balls also were found in the vehicle that was impounded.

Also indicted were the following:

Darrin P. Cail, 18, Brownville, aggravated criminal trespass, marijuana cultivation, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, assault, three counts of criminal threatening and violation of conditions of release.

Robert Merrill, 51, Medford, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, possession of scheduled drugs and criminal forfeiture.

Christine Merrill, 42, Medford, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs, possession of scheduled drugs, and criminal forfeiture.

Joshua L. Baird, 21, Ellsworth, two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.

Mark J. Durant, 33, Guilford, violation of conditions of release, and two counts of failure to appear.

Dennis W. Tripp Jr., 29, Orrington, failure to appear.

Eddie Sibert, 29, Milo, violation of conditions of release, aggravated criminal trespass, criminal threatening, three counts of assault, and criminal mischief.

Marc G. Taft, 19, Dover-Foxcroft, aggravated assault.

John H. Judkins Sr., 26, Monson, unlawful sexual contact and two counts of gross sexual misconduct.

Dayna Nichole Dilworth, 22, Greenville, theft by unauthorized taking and receiving stolen property.

Marc Allen Maxcy Sr., 49, Greenville, violation of conditions of release, aggravated assault and criminal threatening.
