Hermon man arrested after incident at Old Town tavern

Old Town police arrested a Hermon man for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning.

At about half past midnight the Riverfront Pub called to report two drunken patrons fighting.

Officers Seth Burnes, Chris Hashey, Corey Day, Tom Adams and Sgt. Travis Roy arrived to find 26-year-old Travis Hansen hollering at another man, Burnes said.

The officers warned Hansen to stop screaming, but he continued to do so, Burnes said.

Hansen was arrested and taken to Penobscot County Jail.

An Old Town youth was arrested for operating while under the influence early Sunday morning.

Old Town police Officer Tom Adams said he saw a car moving down the centerline of Brunswick Street.

When he tried to pull the car over, it didn’t stop until it reached the driver’s home, Adams said.

Adams said the teenage boy was cooperative once he stopped. Adams arrested the boy after determining he was intoxicated, and later released him into his father’s custody.

Someone reportedly stole a man’s tires Saturday morning in Hampden. Hampden police Sgt. Dan Stewart said a man called at about 9:15 a.m. to report the tires were missing from his 1984 Camaro, which he had parked at Ammo Industrial Park on Odlin Road.

The tires, original to the car, reportedly were worth $2,000.
