BANGOR – Husson College swept a softball doubleheader from Maine Maritime Academy Monday, winning the first game 13-5 and taking the second 14-6.

In the first game, Lesley Freese, Nicole Duplisea, Rhonda Chambers, Kerri Tuck and Jody Reynolds had two singles apiece to help fuel Husson to the win.

Janice Spear led the Maine Maritime effort with a double and a solo-home run.

In the second game, Freese had a double and a single for the Braves while Sara Agouab and Erin Weston added a double apiece.

Spear hit a double and two singles for the Mariners while Jess Clifford helped out with two singles.
