WASHINGTON – The Dover-Foxcroft Water District and the Indian Township Passamaquoddy Reservation have been approved for more than $2.7 million in U.S. Department of Agriculture loans and grants to improve sewer systems and control wastewater.
The federal funding will provide a loan of $767,000 and a grant of $800,000 for the Dover-Foxcroft Water District to improve the water line distribution system and construct a new standpipes. The funding will also provide a $200,000 loan and a $1 million grant for the Indian Township Passamaquoddy reservation to construct a wastewater lagoon and make improvements and additions to the Peter Dana Point collection system.
