Big School (Classes A-B)
DAN PETERSON
Peterson, a member of the Brewer High track and field team, won the 110-meter hurdles and the 300 hurdles in 17.75 and 45.27 seconds, respectively, to help the Witches hold off Old Town in an April 18 meet at Brewer.
Small School (Classes C-D)
COREY SKEATE
Narraguagus High’s Skeate hit a three-run, inside-the-park home run during a seven-run outburst in the first inning of an April 18 game against Woodland. Skeate added a sacrifice fly in the 15-4 win.
GIRLS
Big School (Classes A-B)
ERIN SHERMAN
Sherman hit a double in the bottom of the eighth inning to provide the winning run in Old Town High’s 7-6 softball victory over Nokomis of Newport April 22.
Small School (Classes C-D)
JESSIE KUESTER
The Lee Academy senior scored the winning run in the top of the seventh inning in an April 21 game against Bangor Christian. Kuester singled, stole second, and came home on an error. She finished with two singles in the game.
