FORT FAIRFIELD – Aaron Kenneson struck out 10 and walked three in five innings to lead the Fort Fairfield Tigers to a 12-2 schoolboy baseball win over the Katahdin Cougars Monday.
Kenneson also sparked the offense with three RBIs on a double and a single.
Jesse Sayers singled twice for two RBIs and Jake Chambers doubled twice and added an RBI for the Tigers.
Patrick Willett doubled for the Cougars of Sherman Station.

At Hodgdon, Ben Carton hit two singles, the first of which came with the bases loaded in the second for two RBIs, to lead Hodgdon to the win over Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.
Derek Nickerson also singled twice for the Hawks.
Corey Shields had a double and single while Adam Anderson singled twice for the Warriors.

At Limestone, Tyler Hews pitched a shutout, striking out 14 and allowing only four walks and one hit to help lead the Crusaders to victory.
Sean Violette had three singles and four RBIs for Van Buren while Tyler Hews and Michael Corbin had three singles and three RBIs apiece.
Jake Manner had a single for Limestone’s lone hit.

At Lee, Jason Mallett singled, got to second on a Tyler Thompson walk and scored on an error in the bottom of the sixth to lift the Pandas past the Blue Devils.
Kent Doane and Nate Dow each hit an RBI double in Lee’s eight-run third and Rob Noonan had a two-run single in that inning. Gerry Worster chipped in with two singles. Andrew Stevens helped get Mallett home when he tried a sacrifice bunt to move the runners but reached on the error.
Zack Ludington paced Calais with a three-run double in the sixth and Russ McLean doubled. Six of the Devils’ eight runs were unearned.

At Fort Fairfield, Brandi Violette notched three singles, doubled and drove in three runs to lift the Cougars by the Tigers.
Krystal McMoarn chipped in with two doubles, a single and three RBIs for the winners and Michelle Martin added three singles and three RBIs. Jessica Green also had three singles.
Dani Searles singled twice for the Tigers and drove in a run.

At Hodgdon, Erin Foster cranked a three-run homer and a two-run shot to power the Hawks past the Warriors of Dyer Brook.
Winning pitcher Shanna McGary aided her own cause with a solo home run and a single while Amanda Fitzpatrick tripled and had a two-run single. Foster also had two singles.
Christine Brewer singled twice for SAHS.

Darcey Gillespie had a two-run homer in the first, two singles, and four RBIs for Calais. Amanda Brown doubled and singled.
