HEBRON, Ky. – The nation’s second-largest regional airline canceled a week of flights on Wednesday as its pilots continued to strike.
No government intervention was expected in the Comair strike, which began Monday, and no new talks were scheduled.
The airline, which also flies under the name Delta Connection, has been trying to transfer passengers to other airlines, including Comair’s parent company, Delta Air Lines.
Meanwhile, pilots picketed on Wednesday at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport, where the airline is based.
Pilots are seeking increased pay, company-funded retirement plan, more rest between flights and pay for all hours they are on the job, not just actual flying hours.
