Truck theft, vandalism sparks police probe

PRESQUE ISLE – The Presque Isle Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in the investigation of the vandalism and theft of a motor vehicle.

At about 11:15 p.m. June 12, a resident reported the theft of a truck that was parked and left running behind Wizard’s Pool Hall. The truck had bales of hay in the back.

The truck was found two days later in a wooded area of East Chapman with more than $7,000 damage done to it.

The vehicle, a green 1998 Ford F-150, has a gray stripe along the bottom edge. The truck also has rain guards, fog lights and white-lettered tires. The registration plates are 1973 JT.
