Darryl Whitney

University of Southern Maine senior Darryl Whitney was named to the Verizon Academic All-America Team. He became the first Husky to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships, where he earned a ninth-place finish in the 1,500, reaching the finals by setting a school record of 3 minutes, 55.95 seconds. He compiled a 3.95 GPA, graduating this past spring with a degree in exercise physiology.
