SOMESVILLE – MDI Tomorrow project groups will meet 6-7:30 tonight at the Somesville fire station with researchers from the University of Maine at Orono and the Margaret Chase Smith Center to begin formulating questions for a community survey to be mailed to 2,000 area residents in September.
The goals of the survey are to solicit additional community opinions regarding MDI Tomorrow projects; to assist MDI Tomorrow projects with understanding public opinion regarding policy choices surrounding the projects; and to provide useful information for grant applications, comprehensive planning efforts, and project implementation over the next 10 years.
MDI Tomorrow committees hope the survey effort this fall will provide useful results that will direct change.
The meeting, open to the public, is intended for people to suggest topic areas that the researchers will develop further into questions.
For more information about the survey, contact Stephanie Clement at Friends of Acadia at 288-3340 or stephanie@friendsofacadia.org.
