GUILFORD – A section of Route 150 will be closed during the week of Aug. 11.
Maine Department of Transportation officials said it expects to close the section of Route 150 between Route 6 and Butter Street from Monday Aug. 11, to Friday, Aug. 15.
The road will remain open to local traffic, but through traffic will be directed over a marked detour. Work also has begun on Route 6-15 in Guilford and Dover-Foxcroft.
The project area begins at the Sebec Shore Road and extends east to the east entrance to Foxcroft Academy.
The work includes making safety improvements, laying new pavement and improving roadside drainage.
DOT officials urge drivers to use caution and slow down when approaching these work areas.
