BANGOR – Manna is asking people to donate new school supplies for its program of giving school supplies to children in Penobscot County.

Needed items include backpacks, calculators, compasses, protractors, notebook dividers, book covers, highlighters, markers, colored pencils, red pens and scissors.

Items can be dropped off at Manna, 180 Center St. in Bangor, 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Last year, Manna gave school supplies to more than 100 families, and 40 families already have signed up for the service this year.
