ARUNDEL – A 79-year-old Kennebunk woman died after her car was hit in Arundel and struck a tree, police said.

Dora Redlons was driving on U.S. Route 1 when her car was struck by a vehicle driven by Cesare Delizza of Alfred. Delizza, 76, was trying to turn left into the Lobster Co. lot when he drove his car into Redlons’ Ford Escort.

Police said Redlons’ car left the road and traveled 15 to 20 car lengths before hitting a tree. Redlons’ automatic shoulder belt was in place but her lap belt was unsecured, police said.
