New Army recruiter

BANGOR – Staff Sgt. Gregory L. Boivin has returned to Maine to serve as an army recuiter at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station in Bangor.

Boivin is a 1985 graduate of Rumford High School and also graduated from Central Maine Technical College.

Previously, Boivin was assigned to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, where he served in his military occupational specialty as an operator and maintainer of multichannel transmission systems. Other assignments have included Germany.

Boivin is the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.

Good Conduct Medal

OKINAWA, Japan – Marine Corps Sgt. Dale Bragg Jr., a 1998 graduate of Old Town High School, recently received the Marine Good Conduct Medal.

The medal recognizes the service member’s honest and faithful service during a three-year period. To earn it, Bragg achieved and maintained a satisfactory level of performance and an unblemished conduct record for the entire period.

Bragg is assigned to Maine Wing Communications Squadron 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, Okinawa, Japan.
