WISCASSET – Farmingdale’s Johnny Clark sandwiched second and third-place finishes around an 11th to finish with 16 points and claim the Team EJP 150 Pro All-Stars Series event at Wiscasset Raceway Sunday night.
The drivers ran three 50-lap races with the field being inverted after each of the first two races. For example, if you won the first race, you started 30th in the second race.
Drivers were given points based on their finish: one for first place, two for second, and so on. The driver with the lowest point total won.
Strong’s Tracy Gordon was second with 20 points as he finished second, 13th, and second. Jeff Taylor of Mercer was third with 24 points (6th, 8th, 10th).
Rounding out the top 10 in the 30-car field were Scarborough’s Larry Gelinas (26 points), Wiscasset’s Scott Chubbuck (29), Hollis’ Richie Dearborn (30), Topsham’s Bill Whorff Jr. (31), South Paris’ Sam Sessions (32), Dave Gorveatt (32) of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Jim McCallum (33) of Fall River, Mass.
Turner’s Ben Rowe, the PASS points leader, won the first race, but had car problems in the second race and finished 29th.
