MILLINOCKET – Jordan Burleigh allowed just two runs and four walks through five innings while striking out 10 to lead the Stearns Minutemen to an 11-5 high school baseball victory over the Sumner Tigers Monday.
Ryan Bouchard hit three singles and drove in a run for the Minutemen. Matt Wark and George Surette each had two singles and an RBI and D.J. Charette added two singles.
Jeff Burditt hit an RBI double for Sumner of East Sullivan and Victor Jacques singled twice.

Lucas Searscott drove in the winning run on a two-out single in the fourth inning for Lincoln Academy. Joe Clark doubled and singled and scored the run and Howell also singled.
Mike Light doubled for Mount View and John Wentworth singled. Mike Mayer allowed just one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five.

At Lincoln, Bryan Berry allowed only three hits and struck out six to lead the Lynx by the Piscataquis Community Pirates of Guilford.
Dylan Hanscom scored the winning run on an error in the fifth when he singled, advanced on an error, and stole third.
Cory Kimball chipped in with two singles and an RBI for the winners.
Mike Burnett hit a solo homer for PCHS and hard-luck losing pitcher Roy Burdin added a double and sacrifice fly.

At Milo, Levi Nickerson pitched the no-hitter by walking four and striking out 11 to earn the win for Central of Corinth.

Ryan Andrews walked and scored a run for Penquis.

At Bangor’s Mansfield Stadium, lefty Brian Roach tossed a four-hitter, striking out six and walking three, and Sean Snyder hit a two-run single in the first inning as John Bapst triumphed.
George Keefe’s wind-blown double and an error preceded Snyder’s base hit. Roach aided his cause with an RBI fielder’s choice in the second.
Tony Raymond had two singles for Orono and Travis Dunton hurled a seven-hitter.
