Deschene leads Wildcats to win

PRESQUE ISLE – Natasha Deschene scored 13 points and recorded seven assists to lead the Presque Isle Wildcats to a 63-47 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Fort Kent Warriors Wednesday night.

Anna Delong, Melissa Demerchant and Kylan Smith each added 10 points for Presque Isle, while Katie Delong had seven steals.

Alshley Desjardins paced Fort Kent with 13 points, while Kristin Violette contributed eight points and seven rebounds.

At Washburn, Ryan Clark hit a 3-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to send the game to the extra session, where the Tigers prevailed.

Brandon Levasseur led Fort Fairfield with 25 points. Josh Turner tossed in 22. Clark finished with 14 and Josh Foster added 11.

Zach Bird led all scorers with 29 for the Beavers. Jason Thompson notched 16, Josh Bigbee chipped in with 11 and Nick Hunt scored 10.
