The Husson men’s basketball team used a balanced scoring attack to beat Johnson State 93-66 Saturday, but struggled from the field in an 87-60 loss to Castleton State Sunday during a weekend trip to Vermont.

Dwayne Ailey scored 19 points for the Braves of Bangor in Saturday’s win while Bill Beauregard added 18 and Phil White put in 17. Buddy Leavitt had 14 points and Jeff White had 10.

Tim Santaroangelo paced Johnson State with 19 points.

Joel Leitchnam led Castleton in Sunday’s win with 19 points. Matt Mulligan scored 12 for Husson and Leavitt added 10. The Braves were 22-of-62 from the field.
