ORONO – Anyone wanting to change parties in time to participate in the Feb. 8 Democratic caucus must do so today.

No Mainer can vote at a caucus for 15 days after filing an application to change enrollment. Anyone not now enrolled in a party, however, may enroll up until the caucus is held.

More information about the Democratic caucus process and locations, and about how to obtain absentee caucus forms, is available online at www.mainedems.org.

Also, an open forum will be held this Sunday in Orono to give participants an opportunity to find out how the Feb. 8 Democratic Presidential Caucus will work and where the candidates stand on the issues.

The forum will be held 4-6 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Keith Anderson Community Center in Orono, directly behind the post office on Bennoch Road. The event is sponsored by the Orono Peace Group and members of the Peace & Justice Center of Eastern Maine. For more information on the forum, call 942-9343.
