DEER ISLE – The Maine Department of Transportation has scheduled a preliminary public meeting at 7 tonight at the Deer Isle town office, 70 Church St., to update the public on the condition of the Deer Isle-Sedgwick Bridge.
DOT commissioned an in-depth inspection of the bridge last fall and will meet with the public to share preliminary results.
DOT officials will provide as much detail as is available, answer question and discuss possible time frames and the traffic implications of making bridge repairs.
