Lubec woman placed on regulation panel

LUBEC – Gov. John Baldacci has appointed Lubec resident Carol Murtaugh to the Land Use Regulation Commission.

The commission is a state agency established by the Legislature in 1971 to plan for and review development and other land uses in the unorganized townships of Maine.

Formerly of New Jersey, Murtaugh moved to Lubec 10 years ago, after retiring as a college professor and psychiatric nurse practitioner.
