CASTINE – Carolyn McAvoy helped lead the Husson College Braves to a softball doubleheader sweep over Maine Maritime Academy Tuesday with a 10-1 win in the first game and an 8-5 decision in the second.
McAvoy had two RBIs and a home run in the first game to lead Husson and she had two singles and a double in the second game.
In the first game, Nicole Manzo had a triple for the Braves, while Jennifer Hodgkins, Kelly McHatten and Sara Agouab each had a double.
Abbi Darling had an RBI single for Maine Maritime Academy.
In the second game, Husson’s Krystal Bosse had two hits.
Abbi Darling and Jess Clifford had doubles for the Mariners.
