Braves take 2 from Wheelock

BOSTON – Krystal Bosse hit a double and three singles with five RBIs to help lead Husson College to a 12-1 win over Wheelock College in the first game. Husson also won the second game 4-3.

In the first game, Alicia LaGrange only gave up one run, three hits, and one walk while striking out five for the Braves. Sara Agouab doubled and singled with a RBI and Nicole Manzo hit two singles to knock in a run.

Liz Adamo, Angela Soulor, and Jackie Daly each singled for Wheelock.

In the second game, LaGrange tripled and singled to drive in a run for Husson and Carolyn McAvoy had a pair of singles with an RBI.

Elizabeth Trackim hit a doubled and a single for Wheelock.

At Standish, Helene Liaci scored the game-winning run on a Jamie Morrison double in the seventh inning to give St. Joseph’s College a 1-0 victory over the University of Maine at Farmington. UM-Farmington took the second game 6-3.

In the first game, Kahler Dowling pitched a shutout by allowing only four hits and no walks while striking out five for the Monks. Liaci doubled and Deborah Bain singled.

Liz Seubert, Mary Berry, Holly Tripp, and Cynthia Ravinski each singled for UMF.

In the second game, Tripp doubled and singled to knock in three runs for UM-Farmington. Sara Martin had a double and Berry hit a pair of singles.

Jamie Morrison had a double and a single for St. Joseph’s, and Ashley Burton singled with two RBIs.

Fisher sweeps UM-Farmington

At Farmington, Jeremy Marion hit a home run to drive in two runs and help Fisher College to the 6-2 win in the opener. Fisher also claimed the second game 7-6 in eight innings.

In the first game, Victor Jacquin had a double and a single with a RBI for Fisher and Pat Gaffney hit a pair of singles.

Zachary Reed hit two singles and scored twice for the University of Farmington. Kris Garrow also had two singles and Peter McLaughlin doubled to drive in a run.

In the second game, Dan Gibson and Gaffney both hit a pair of singles for Fisher and Mike Dunton doubled.

Peter McLaughlin hit a home run and a double to drive in two runs for UM-Farmington. Reed doubled and singled and Keith LeBlanc had two singles.

At Standish, Matt Prunier hit a home run and a double to drive in two runs and help St. Joseph’s College to the win over Rivier College.

Nick Arno wrapped a pair of doubles and had three RBIs for the Monks. Mark Clapp and Andy Exley each hit a double and a single.

Cory Wing hit a RBI single for Rivier and Bobby Gibbons singled and scored.
