CARIBOU – Three men made initial appearances Wednesday in Caribou District Court on drug charges after a raid on a Caribou apartment Tuesday.
Jeremiah Sock, 21, Presque Isle, Jose Rosado, 27, of Maynard, Mass., and Ariel Rosado, 27, of Caribou were all charged with unlawful trafficking in schedule W drugs, cocaine.
They were arrested Tuesday afternoon after Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents, Caribou City Police, Aroostook County deputy sheriffs, and Maine State Police officers raided a Caribou apartment.
Samantha St. Peter, 20, who was also at the apartment, has not been charged.
The three men were taken to the Aroostook County Jail where they spent the night.
According to MDEA Task Force Supervisor Darrell Crandall, agents seized 22 bags of cocaine valued at $3,600, another ounce of bulk cocaine that had not been processed, four digital scales, more than $1,400 in alleged drug proceeds and other evidence at the scene.
Crandall would not reveal the details of the investigation.
He said there was a potential for other arrests, although none were imminent.
The seizure and arrest were made after agents obtained a search warrant for Apartment E at 10 Oak Ave. in Caribou. Crandall said the warrant came after a “short investigation” into alleged cocaine trafficking at the location.
If convicted, the three men face maximum penalties of 10 years in jail.
