CARIBOU – Leah Babin smacked an RBI double in the eighth inning to give the Fort Kent Warriors a 14-13 high school softball victory over the Caribou Vikings Wednesday.
Babin added another double and two singles, and finished with two RBIs. Shannon Morneault doubled, singled and drove in a pair for Fort Kent.
Christy Zbylut paced the Vikings with a two-run single. Makayla Gahagan singled three times and doubled and Billie Martin singled twice.

At Van Buren, after two straight errors put runners at second and third, Lance Smith scored them both for the tying and winning runs with a single up the middle.
Smith had a double, two singles and three RBIs for the Crusaders. Dustin Cyr had a double, single, and RBI; Matt Gagnon doubled and singled; and Chris Gagnon and Andrew Taylor each singled twice.

Scott Macdonald’s RBI single with two outs in the sixth provided the Calais run. Scott Geel took the loss despite pitching a three-hitter as well.
