DYER BROOK – Travis Brooker had a run-scoring double in the six-run first inning and a two-run single in the five-run sixth to lead Southern Aroostook past rival Central Aroostook 16-8 in schoolboy baseball action Tuesday.
Griffin Hardy had two singles and an RBI for the Warriors and Evan McGary and Adam Anderson had a single and two RBIs each.
Tim Carlson had three singles and an RBI for the Panthers and Bryan Grew had a two-run single.

At Hodgdon, Kevin Ledger singled home the tying run in the fifth inning, then scored the go-ahead run on Seth Dorr’s sacrifice fly as the Hawks earned the victory.
Ledger finished with three singles and two RBIs, while Jordan Quint singled twice and Bruce Currie doubled.
Tyler Schools pitched a seven-hitter for the Hawks.
Fernando Costa singled twice for Fort Fairfield and Jon Everett doubled.

At Stacyville, Gerry Worster and Nate Dow combined on a six-inning one-hitter and Everett Houghton had a triple and three singles and drove in two runs as Lee Academy triumphed.
Worster and Dow struck out seven and walked one.
Tyler Thompson had three doubles and two RBIs and Dow singled twice with an RBI.
Cameron Cunningham’s third-inning double was Katahdin’s only hit.

Dexter sweeps Schenck
At Dexter, Chris Rabideau, David Richardson and Tim McCarthy combined for a no-hitter with four strikeouts and three walks for Dexter in the 12-1 win in the second game. The Tigers won the first game 10-0.
In the first game, Mike Martin hit a two-run triple for Dexter. Brian Kelso doubled and singled with one RBI and Rabideau added two singles with an RBI.
Nick Bishop doubled for Schenck of East Millinocket.
In the second game, Kyle Stone, Brandon Woodman and Kelso each had two singles and an RBI for Dexter.
