DPAC member Noah Sargent has been in contact with Penobscot County Sheriff Glenn Ross, and Sargent reports a portion of the proceeds will help purchase a bulletproof vest for a new explosives detection K-9 that the department recently acquired.
Any additional funds could be used to purchase safety-coloring books depicting an anti-drug message dispensed by patrol deputies through the department’s Adopt-A School program, Ross has suggested.
