PORTLAND – Maine’s Roman Catholic bishop has announced seven reassignments for priests around the state. The changes are effective July 1.
The Rev. Scott Mower will move from pastor of St. Mark Parish in Ashland, the missions of Our Lady of the Lake in Portage, and St. Catherine in Washburn, to administrator of St. Joseph Parish in Ellsworth.
The Rev. Richard E. St. Cyr will move from pastor of St. Augustine in Augusta to pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Fairfield.
The Rev. Paul Plante will move from pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish in Winslow to pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes in Oquossoc with the missions of Rangeley, Stratton and Sugarloaf.
The Rev. James Brewer will move from pastor of St. Hyacinth Parish in Westbrook to pastor of St. Philip Parish in Lyman.
The Rev. Angelo B. Levasseur will move from pastor of St. Ambrose Parish in Richmond, Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Sabattus, and the mission of St. Francis in Greene, to pastor of Sts. Athanasius and John Parish in Rumford, pastor of St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Parish in Mexico, and the mission of Dixfield.
The Rev. D. Joseph Manship, in addition to his responsibilities as pastor of St. Edmund Parish and St. Mary Parish in Westbrook, has been appointed pastor of St. Hyacinth Parish in Westbrook.
The Rev. Robert Parent has been appointed administrator of St. Ambrose Parish in Richmond, and Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Sabattus, including the mission of St. Francis in Greene.
