Conroy, Rosenthal help lead Trenton by Brewer for 3rd win

ELLSWORTH – Tony Conroy hit an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning to lead the Trenton Acadians to a 7-6 win over the Brewer Falcons in American Legion baseball action Tuesday.

Will Rosenthal singled twice, tripled, and brought in two more runs for the winners. Andy Pooler and Conroy both finished with a pair of singles.

Pat Moran had three singles and scored two runs for Brewer.

At Calais, Corey Colbeth singled three times as the home team won its first game.

James Ramsdell added a single and a double for Calais. Steve Colbeth and Josh Francis each had two singles.

Joe Guerette singled three times and doubled once for Orono. Mike Tardiff also singled and doubled.

SeaWolves 10, Sea Dogs 6

ERIE, Pa. – Brandon Harper and Kurt Airoso each hit three-run home runs as the Erie SeaWolves rallied for eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings Tuesday to beat the Portland Sea Dogs 10-6.

Erie (40-29) won its fourth straight and handed Portland (33-38) its second loss in a row.

The SeaWolves took a 2-0 lead on Ryan Raburn’s solo homer in the first inning and Raburn’s RBI single in the third. Portland scored six unanswered runs against Erie starter Preston Larrison.

Jeff Bailey led off the fourth with a home run, and Kenny Perez hit an RBI single two batters later to tie the score.

Erie scored four times in the sixth, including Harper’s blast, against reliever Jason Howell to tie the game 6-6.

In the seventh, reliever Bo Donaldson walked the first two batters before Airoso homered to give Erie a 9-6 lead. Two batters later, Jack Hannahan hit a solo homer to make it 10-6.

Portland starter Josh Stevens allowed six runs in 5 1/3 innings. Larrison gave up six runs in six innings.

The win went to Erie reliever Lee Rodney, who pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings. Brian Schmack recorded the final four outs for his first save. Howell took the loss.
