Kentucky man driving stolen truck arrested

A Kentucky man was arrested Monday after police from three law enforcement agencies stopped the stolen truck he was driving.

At 7:13 p.m., Bangor police Officer Dan Herrick spotted Josh Walker, 29, of Russelville, Ky., driving a Ford pickup truck that was reported stolen Monday, according to police. Herrick followed the truck into Brewer on Interstate 395 and called for assistance, as police suspected Walker could be armed.

Bangor, Brewer and Holden police pulled Walker over on U.S. Route 1A in Holden. He was charged with Class B theft and remained in Penobscot County Jail on Monday night.

No weapons were found in the truck, police said.

Allegedly stolen in Berks-Lehigh, Pa., the vehicle is registered to a welding company in Kentucky. A passenger in the truck, a man from Hancock whose name was not immediately available, was also arrested Monday on a minor, unrelated charge, according to police.
