BANGOR – Kyle Haslem pitched a six-hitter while striking out eight batters to help Ellsworth eliminate Bangor East in the state ages 9-10 Little League championship tournament Wednesday afternoon at the 13th Street Complex.

Ellsworth’s 8-6 victory moved it into another elimination game Thursday against East Biddeford at 5:30 p.m.

Two-run doubles by Thom Sawyer and Matt Clark in the second helped key a decisive six-run inning.

Justin Scripture had two singles and two RBIs for Bangor East.
