BANGOR – Aerus Electrolux and Schoodic will face off on Saturday, Aug. 21 for the Bay League Championship after weekend tourney victories at the Winkin Complex.

On Saturday, Bear Brew Pub beat Quirk Auto Park 2-1, Schoodic beat the Blue Hill Bankers 8-3, and Monteville beat Belfast Viking Lumber 12-1. On Sunday, Aerus eliminated Bear Brew 10-5 and Schoodic defeated Monteville 12-3.

In the first game, Pete Saunders scored the tie-breaking run off a sacrifice fly from Justin Spencer Bear Brewer Pub. Matt Anderson singled twice and Billy Baker single and scored a run for Bear Brew.

For Quirk, Bill Kane and Dan Hamm each singled.

In the second game, Chuck Wingo knocked out a two-run homer and singled twice for Schoodic. Seth Dickenson and Mike Cowperthwaite added two singles. Cowperthwaite added an RBI and Darren Daniels drove in two runs with a single.

Jeremy Ayrd had an RBI double, while John Lewandowski and Justin Harmon had RBI singles for the Blue Hill Bankers.

In the third game, Chris Carmen cleared the bases, bringing in three runs with a double. George Tripp and Pasco Grove each had a home run and a single.

For Belfast, Ron Hicks singled twice and Steve Moran doubled.

In the fourth game, Tom Caldwell singled twice to bring in two runs for Aerus. Justin Barnes added an RBI single.

Matt Anderson singled four times for Bear Brew, while Saunders and Spencer had a pair of singles and an RBI apiece.

In the fifth game, Seth Dickenson drove in three runs with two singles for Schoodic. Darren Daniels singled three times and Chris Sargent had a single and two RBIs.

Gerald Hewes drove in two runs on a single and Devin Potvin singled twice with an RBI for Monteville
