Rolfe records first victory at Oxford Plains

OXFORD – Ricky Rolfe of Albany Township earned his first victory of the season in the Oxford Networks Pro Stock division, easily defeating second-place Bill Whorff Jr. of Topsham in Saturday night’s feature at Oxford Plains Speedway.

Tim Brackett of Oxford finished third, with Alan Wilson of Hebron and Mike Maietta Jr. of South Portland rounding out the top five.

Wiscasset Raceway

At Wiscasset, Joe Creamer of Bath took the lead on Lap 22 held off a pair of challenges from Donnie Stuart of Pittston to win the 50-lap Strictly Street feature at Wiscasset Speedway on Saturday night.

Bobby Mesimer of Woolwich finished third, while pole-sitter Alan Lane of Walpole was fourth and Alan Higgins of Brunswick placed fifth.

Creamer’s win comes with just one more week left in Wiscasset’s season points series. That season finale will be held Saturday, Sept. 4.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Scarborough, Steve Carrier of Saco earned his first NASCAR Pro Series feature win of the season at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Curtis Gerry of South Waterboro finished one car-length back in second place, followed by Dave Oliver of Scarborough, Joey Pastore of Gorham and Bobby Babb of Windham.

Bob Harvey of Whitefield edged out Winterport’s Robin Reynolds to score the win in the Pro Eliminator on Sunday. Joe Paluga of Bar Harbor finished fourth and Blue Hill’s Rick Wiseman was fourth.

Kris Huff of Orrington took the win in the Pro Stock division on Saturday night. Belfast’s Travis Benjamin finished second, Mark Watson of Clinton was third, Albion’s Steve Nelson finished fourth and Pat Thibodeau of Winterport rounded out the top five.
