Marcus Williams, a senior tailback for the University of Maine, is among 16 players and the only member of the Atlantic 10 to be placed on the first “Payton Watch” list compiled by The Sports Network. The two-time 1,000-yard rusher was a finalist last season for the Walter Payton Award, which is given to the top running back in Division I-AA.
