A dozen Washington County boys ages 10 to 16 spent two days last week exploring the trails and waterways of the Maine coast as part of their Norumbega Adventure Days. Sponsored by the Dennysville-Edmunds Congregational Church, the boys were led by Maine Guide Bruce Hodgdon and accompanied by Pastors Ron and Colin Windhorst. The adventure, Aug. 24-25, included a run of eight canoes on the Orange River in Whiting and a hike along the Bold Coast Trail in Cutler. Participating were Kyle Dore and Cameron Morrison of Perry, Patrick and Joseph Means of Edmunds, Howie McFadden of Dennysville, Paul Vinzani and Will Crosby of Whiting, Wilder Hasting of Cutler, Alex Hayward of Jonesboro, Peter Phillips of Campobello Island, New Brunswick, and Gabriel Winski of Trescott. His brother, Dominic Winsk, served as junior counselor.
