As a resident of Aroostook County, I noted with interest the headline over Sen. John Edwards’ photo stating, “Edwards campaign comes to UM campus/Candidate’s Orono stop reflects focus on northern Maine” (BDN, Sept. 9).

Identifying Orono as northern Maine leaves me wondering exactly where on the geographical continuum Aroostook County would fall? If you are actually confused about north, look at a map.
