WISCASSET – Wiscasset Raceway will be the subject of a real estate auction to be held by telephone bid beginning at 10 a.m. today.

The 1/3-mile high-banked oval with a seating capacity of 6,000, located on the West Alna Road in Wiscasset, will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, with a starting bid of $500,000 and a $10,000 certified check required to bid.

The property also has 35.5 acres, including a three-bedroom home, various out buildings, a hot-top pit area and grandstand area and parking lots.
