Monday’s regional page story on winners in the Skills USA-VICA Championships, held March 16 in Bangor, should have listed John Goss as a first-place winner in Promotional Bulletin Board. Goss is a student at United Technology Center and Bangor High School.
A story in Friday’s paper incorrectly stated that Douglas Kneeland, a former adviser to the Maine Campus at the University of Maine, worked for The Associated Press. Kneeland worked for The New York Times, the Chicago Tribune and the Bangor Daily News. He covered many presidential campaigns, including the 1972 race,which was profiled in the book “Boys on the Bus.”
The All-Maine girls basketball team story in Saturday’s paper incorrectly stated that just one of the seniors had won a state championship in her four years of playing basketball. Sarah Marquez of Orono also won a state championship, in her freshman year (1998).
