A story on Page B2 in some editions of Friday’s paper about the sentencing of a former jail worker from Houlton contained an inaccurate headline and incomplete information. The headline should have read that Rene Clark received a suspended sentence for attempted trafficking in prison contraband. The story should have included that the offense is a misdemeanor.

Due to an editing error, a description of how berms are being constructed at a rifle range in Warren was attributed incorrectly to a DEP spokesman in a story published Friday in the Midcoast edition. The description should have been attributed to court documents. Also, the polyester material being used as a foundation in the berms should have been described as flammable, not “highly flammable.”
