An item in Belfast District Court news published in some editions Thursday contained an incomplete report. As noted, Roland A. Littlefield, 21, of Belfast had been charged with operating while under the influence of intoxicants. The case was transferred to Superior Court for a jury trial. A trial was never scheduled, however, because the charge was dismissed after the state’s evidence was suppressed.
A story in some editions Wednesday on the Old Town residential spring cleanup incorrectly stated that refuse to be collected in the second week, April 30-May4, should be placed on curbs by Monday, May 4. The correct date for rubbish to be placed on curbs is Monday, April 30.
A short item in Maine Day on Thursday gave the wrong start time for the upcoming state meeting of the Maine Genealogical Society. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Reeds Brook Middle School in Hampden.
