A headline in Wednesday’s city edition incorrectly identified the town from which Great Northern Paper is seeking a tax abatement for the year 2000. GNP is seeking the abatement from East Millinocket.

Two recent stories in city editions dealing with Brewer city government incorrectly identified the job title Anna Thompson held between 1991 and 2001. During that time Thompson served as deputy treasurer.

A photo caption on Wednesday’s Maine Day incorrectly indicated when the Buchanan Alumni House at the University of Maine will open. The new building, which will house UM’s Alumni Association and the University of Maine Foundation, is scheduled to open in June 2002.
