Days and dates were incorrect in Joni Averill’s column Tuesday regarding the Calais Lioness Christmas Parade and the Calais Lions Santa’s Helper Fund broadcast. The correct day for the Calais Lioness Christmas Parade is Friday, Nov. 30. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Johnson’s Hardware parking lot in Calais. The correct time for the Calais Lions Santa’s Helper Fund broadcast is 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, on WQDY AM-FM. The program will be broadcast from Calais Elementary School.
A story in some editions Thursday about the Winterport selectmen gave incorrect information. The Board of Selectmen will have a special meeting next week to decide whether to call a special town meeting on the West Winterport Dam issue. The board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the recreation building on Park Drive.
A story in Thursday’s edition of Maine Day about the Heroes Breakfast held earlier this month in Presque Isle had an incorrect name and rank for the keynote speaker, Peter Miesburger. He is a U.S. Air Force master sergeant (retired).
