Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger’s name was misspelled in Thursday’s concert review and the name of the song “A Certain Shade of Green” was listed incorrectly.

A Penobscot County deputy who responded to an accident in Kenduskeag during the weekend was misidentified in Monday’s Police Files. He should have been identified as Deputy James Kennedy.

A story in the June 15-16 edition regarding a proposed smoking ban around Bangor playgrounds incorrectly identified the City Council committee scheduled to consider the issue. The council’s Government Operations Committee is tentatively set to consider the matter at its June 26 meeting.

The date of a special town meeting in Newport was incorrectly reported Monday as July 18. Newport Town Manager James Ricker said the meeting is today, Tuesday, June 18, at 7 p.m. at the Sebasticook Valley Community Center.

A sports story on the Paul Bunyan Amateur Golf Tournament in Monday’s paper incorrectly stated that the last Bunyan playoff was in 1982. The last playoff was in 2000 when Ryan Day beat Jay Plourd.
