A Friday story regarding the Board of Environmental Protection hearings on a proposed Wal-Mart Supercenter near the Penjajawoc Marsh should have read that experts testifying on behalf of the project’s developer concluded that light and sound emanating from the planned development would not unduly disturb bird species in the area. It was an editing error.

In an Aug. 8 story about shark sightings at Wells Beach, The Associated Press incorrectly reported that thresher sharks feed on plankton. Basking sharks feed on plankton; thresher sharks feed on fish.
