A story about the city’s role in the National Folk Festival in the Wednesday edition should have stated that the city expected to spend about $30,000 – $12,000 in overtime costs – from a $100,000 reserve account for the folk festival, not the Senior League World Series. The city donated $7,600 to the weeklong baseball tournament and had only minimal overtime costs.

A story in the Thursday edition regarding the Bangor City Council race listed incorrect ages for the two incumbent candidates. City Councilor Frank Farrington is 70 and City Councilor Dan Tremble is 37. The City Clerk’s Office provided the incorrect information.

A report published in Thursday’s County edition incorrectly stated the percentage of step increases given to 17 Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department em-ployees. Most of the employees received a 2 percent increase, and five received increases of 11 percent. The error was due to inaccurate information provided by the Aroostook County Commissioners Office.
